Reap & Sow / Privacy policy

Privacy policy

How Reap & Sow collects, uses and protects the information you give us, and the choices you have about it.

Last updated: 24 August 2026

1. Who we are

Reap & Sow ("Reap & Sow", "we", "us", "our") provides guided hog hunts and farm pest control services in Texas. This policy applies to pigmist.com and to the enquiries, bookings and service relationships that start there.

By using this site, submitting a form, booking a call or texting us, you agree to this policy.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Contact details: your name, phone number and email address.
  • Property and job details: your county or town, acreage, crop type, the damage you are seeing, and anything else you type into a form or tell us on a call.
  • Booking details: the date and time you select, party size, and any notes you add when you schedule through our booking calendar.
  • Order details: if you order apparel, the items, sizes and shipping information you provide.
  • Correspondence: the content of emails, text messages and voicemails you send us.

Information collected automatically

  • IP address, browser type, device type and operating system.
  • Pages you viewed, how long you stayed, and the site or search that referred you.
  • Cookies and similar technologies, described in section 7.

Information from third parties

Our booking calendar and customer relationship management ("CRM") provider passes us the details you enter when you schedule. If you contact us through a social platform, we receive whatever that platform shares.

We do not knowingly collect payment card numbers on this website. Any card payment is handled by a third-party processor under its own terms.

3. How we use your information

  • To answer your enquiry and give you a quote.
  • To schedule and carry out hunts, property walks and removal work.
  • To store and manage your details in our CRM so we can follow up, keep a service history and coordinate the crew assigned to your property.
  • To call, text and email you about your enquiry, your booking, scheduling changes and service updates.
  • To send marketing about hunts, availability, seasonal pressure and offers, where you have agreed to receive it or where the law otherwise allows.
  • To fulfil apparel orders.
  • To operate, secure, measure and improve the website.
  • To keep records, resolve disputes, enforce our terms and comply with legal obligations.

4. Calls and text messages

When you give us your phone number through a form, our booking calendar, or by texting us, you agree that Reap & Sow and the people working on our behalf may call and text you at that number about your enquiry, your quote and your booking, including by automated means where applicable.

If you separately opt in to marketing messages, we may also text you about availability, seasonal offers and news.

  • Consent is not a condition of purchase. You do not have to agree to marketing messages to book a hunt or hire us for removal work.
  • Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
  • To stop: reply STOP to any text and we will not send you further marketing texts. Reply HELP for help, or call (979) 464-6508.
  • We may still contact you about an active booking or job after you opt out of marketing.
  • Mobile information will not be shared or sold to third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes. Sharing with the vendors that deliver our messages is covered in section 6.

5. Email

We send transactional email about your enquiry and bookings. If you have opted in, we also send marketing email. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and we honour opt-outs promptly. You can also email control@pigmist.com and ask to be removed.

6. When we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as described here:

  • Service providers who work for us and are permitted to use the information only to provide their service to us. These include our CRM and booking platform, our website host, our email and text message delivery vendors, analytics providers, and any payment processor or apparel fulfilment partner we use.
  • Landowners and crew where sharing your details is necessary to schedule and carry out the work you booked.
  • Legal reasons: where we are required by law, subpoena or court order, or where we need to protect our rights, our property, or the safety of people involved.
  • Business transfer: if the business is sold or merged, your information may transfer to the new owner subject to this policy.

7. Cookies and tracking

The site uses cookies and similar technologies to keep it working, remember your preferences and understand how it is used. Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking cookies may affect how parts of the site behave.

Our booking calendar is embedded from a third-party provider and may set its own cookies when it loads. Those cookies are governed by that provider's privacy policy.

8. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and customer records for as long as we have a relationship with you and afterwards for as long as we need them for legitimate business purposes such as service history, accounting, insurance and legal claims. When we no longer need information, we delete it or de-identify it.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect your information, and this site is served over an encrypted connection. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, including under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, you may have the right to:

  • Confirm whether we process your personal data and access it.
  • Correct inaccuracies in it.
  • Ask us to delete it.
  • Obtain a portable copy of data you provided to us.
  • Opt out of targeted advertising, the sale of personal data, or profiling with legal effects.

To make a request, email control@pigmist.com or call (979) 464-6508. We will verify your identity before acting, and we will respond within the time the law allows. Exercising these rights costs nothing and we will not treat you differently for it.

Appeals. If we decline your request, we will tell you why. You may appeal that decision by replying to our response or emailing control@pigmist.com with "Privacy appeal" in the subject. If we deny the appeal, you may contact the Texas Attorney General to submit a complaint.

11. Targeted advertising and sale of data

We do not sell personal data, and we do not process it for profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects. If we ever run advertising that involves sharing data for targeted advertising, we will update this policy and provide a way to opt out before doing so.

12. Children

This site is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Our site links to and embeds content from other companies, including our booking provider and the pages we cite for hog damage figures. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Read their policies before giving them information.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. When we do, we will change the "last updated" date at the top. Material changes will be highlighted on this page. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
